Kindergarten Registration for the
2015-2016 school year begins on
Monday, January 12th, 2015. Children
who are 5 years old on or before
July 31st , 2015 are able to
register with the office. Office
hours are 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

records, showing physical and

School Typing Club
Machorek has started a typing club
for interested students in grades
2-5! Who: ALL students in Grades 2-5

typing is fun :) AND I offer great
rewards and treats for those who
practice! AND they'll do much better
on the upcoming testing because they
will be typing in their responses :)

our Walking School Bus morning. Join in and
have some fun before school! Please

Neighborhood Center at 7:00 a.m.
Walking school bus departs at 7:05 and
Zumba starts at 7:15 with Hilary Johnson
in the cafeteria. Please fill out the
attached form and turn it in when you
arrive at KNC.

Kauai Shining Stars! You'll learn about
an innovative problem-solving strategy
called 'Design Thinking' and how this
approach can be used by schools to apply
creative solutions. We also visit with
King Kaumualii Elementary that recently
achieved a high honor of being named a
Recognition school in Hawaii. It's not
easy to earn Recognition school status,
and King Kaumualii Elementary's efforts
to reach all students through effective
instruction has produced great results.
