Mr. Burkman
Mr. Burkman, Principal. Mr. Burkman is a graduate of California State University Longbeach with a B.A. in history as well as a M.Ed. Administration from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He spent 10 years teaching at Kauai High and Intermediate School and Kaimuki High School. Mr. Burkman has been an administrator for 9 years, 7 of those years have been spent at Kalaheo Elementary School. He has been married for 12 years to his wonderful wife Shannon, formerly Shannon Taba. He has three children, Gunnar 8, Anna 6, Hans 4 and a dog. He loves to coach sports, work in his yard and surf. His favorite color is blue, his favorite food is corn tortillas and he loves to watch college football on TV, especially UH. Mr. Burkman and his ohana are greatly involved with his church, Kauai Christian Fellowship, which give them many opportunities to hang out and do fun things together.
